CRPC masterclass - Dutch - SchelleBelnuc Event
Starting time 14.09.2017 at 19:00 Ending time 14.09.2017 at 22:30
The first Castrate-Resistant Prostate Carcinoma (CRCP) masterclass will take place on Thursday September 14th 2017.
This event will be held at the same time on two seperate locations, with one session taking place in Dutch (Schelle) and another one in French (Namur).
The aim is to refresh the background knowledge about treatment options in metastatic CRPC (mCRPC) and provide cases where multidisciplinary discussion is fostered.
Hormonal therapy, chemotherapy and radionuclide therapy will be discussed, as well as the finanicial implications and potential cross-resistance mechanisms.
In the second part, the attendees will break out in smaller groups and will discuss cases in a format similar to multidisciplinary tumor board, which will be held in the local language to be as close as possible to daily practice.
The aim is to allow our members to have a better idea of indications and contra-indications of the different therapeutic modalities, to better grasp the potential for sequential treatment and to be able to argument and defend the choice for a specific treatment. A teaching point of particular concern is the justification of the use of radionuclide therapy.
