This session addresses the implications of implementing PIC/S requirements in nuclear medicine practice through real-world case studies and a multi-stakeholder panel discussion. By presenting the PIC/S implementation journeys of both a small peripheral hospital and a medium-to-large center, the session illustrates how to tackle the challenges of PIC/S with respect to safeguarding patients access and managing economic impact. The subsequent panel discussion with representatives from professional societies (BELNUC, VBS/GBS), regulatory authorities (FAMHP), and industry explores shared accountability, regulatory ethics, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability of services. Together, these components provide participants with practical insight into ethically responsible and economically sustainable decision-making in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
