RLTech and Nurse Academy Flanders – June 21, 2025 (recap)

Published on: August 29, 2025

We are happy to share with you that the first RLTech and Nurse Academy in Flanders on June 21st at Technopolis, Mechelen was a great success.

With over 70 participants—including technologists, nurses, and nuclear medicine physicians—from all over Flanders, the event created a dynamic space for learning, collaboration, and innovation.

Designed specifically for technologists and urology-oncology nurses involved (or soon to be involved) in treating prostate cancer patients with lutetium-177 based radioligand therapy (RLT), the academy aimed to accelerate the learning curve for this cutting-edge treatment.

A distinguished panel of experts, including Dr. Michiel Strijbos, Dr. Sofie Van Binnebeek, Greta Demets, and Steven Stienaers, provided valuable insights on:

  • Patient education
  • Radioprotection
  • The evolving roles of nurses and technologists before and during treatment

The event also highlighted the power of multidisciplinary collaboration, always keeping the patient experience at the heart of our efforts.

We are already looking forward to the next edition in the south at the end of this year!
